Since establishing the business in 1999, at Polar Auto Refurb we have developed a reputation for high quality vehicle accident repairs, refurbishment and restoration. Proprietors Simon Le Rougetel and David Roberts have both spent their entire careers in the motor trade, each serving apprenticeships in their chosen fields, David in bodywork as a panel beater and Simon as a paint sprayer, and now between them share over sixty years of experience in the industry.
After a few years settling in to the accident repair business, in 2003 Polar Auto took on their first restoration project, that of a rare 1967 Mini Cooper 1071cc. This was a great success, producing a show winning car. Since then there have been many more restorations, and in recent years have also seen a growth in popularity of vehicle refurbishment; a more moderate and affordable level of restoration aimed at preservation and care so avoiding the need for expensive restorations later on.
Over the years we have seen great developments in our team’s abilities and skills as they have followed the technological advances in car production and corresponding repair techniques. We have invested in new facilities in the workshop and so now we feel we present an even more comprehensive service for our clients, as well as the assurance and confidence that we are at the forefront of accident repairers in the Channel Islands.
