1998 Land Rover 90 Tdi, 300 series – NAS* style Heritage conversion.
Polar Auto Refurb were asked to bring life back to what can only be described, as a tired old Land Rover. It was mechanically sound, but a bit of a mess, with rotten carpets, torn seats, and body work which must have touched every granite wall in Jersey. But with a sound chassis and mechanicals and a great platform to create a soft top with a classic Land Rover Heritage look.
The car was completely stripped and the County hard top removed. A new rear cross member was fitted with integrated NAS step, the chassis cleaned and waxoyled, new doors, wings, bulkhead air vents, hinge kits, checker plate, side steps, front grille and door rubbers, either replaced or updated. A new rear door was specially fabricated in-house, to be side opening, but still carry the spare wheel. The car was then re-trimmed with a premier carpet set from Exmoor Trim, together with a full canvas tilt, with rear, side and top opening panels, which fitted over an upgraded reinforced frame. Working closely with the client, we have achieved an end result that has received a lot of interest, and an old Land Rover that our client is “absolutely chuffed to bits with”.
